4 die in separate accidents
ETANAHUN REPORTER TANAHUN, Jan 13 Three people died and two were seriously injured when a car (Ba 9 Cha 1685) heading to Pokhara from Kathmandu lost its balance at Jamune, Tahanun along the Prithvi Highway on Thursday. The deceased have been identified as Ashish Basnet of the Nepal Army, a local of Uku VDC-4, Darchula; Sandip Pal, 32, and Bhaskar Shah, 16, a resident of Kathmandu. Rupendra Joshi, 26, and Sanjeev Pandey, 30 -- both from Kathmandu -- were injured in the accident. According to police, the car lost its balance as it was in very high speed. The injured are receiving treatment at Ratnahari Hospital in Damauli. Meanwhile, nine-year-old Nabina Rana Magar, a girl student of Adarsha Boarding School, died on the spot when a truck (Ga 1 Kha 3686) hit her at Chang-3, Thaditar on Thursday. Following the incident, Magar´s relatives blocked the highway for a few hours demanding punishment to the guilty. |
